About This Producer

Founded in 1973 when Eloi Dürrbach (son of sculptor René Dürrbach, friend of Picasso) abandoned architecture studies to plant vines, literally using dynamite to break rocky limestone ground. First wines produced in 1976. In 1994, refused to alter 50/50 Cabernet-Syrah blend when AOC limited Cabernet to 20%, downgraded to IGP Alpilles. René died in 2000, leaving 50 artistic posters as wine labels. New winery constructed in 2013. Eloi passed in 2021; wife Floriane and children Ostiane and Antoine now run the estate.
