Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey
Saint-Aubin 'Le Banc'
A village-level white that punches well above its weight from one of Burgundy's most sought-after producers. The 2018 Le Banc opens with hallmark reductive notes of flint and matchstick, evolving to reveal mineral and citrus tones, wood toast, browned butter and salted lemon curd. Medium-bodied with excellent balance between fruit, acidity and minerality. The palate is broad and mouthfilling with an oily texture, brisk acidity and generous citrus character. Clean, dry finish with attractive length and good tension.
