Pierre Yves Colin MoreyMeursault2018
PYCM's village Meursault comes from purchased fruit across multiple parcels, vinified with the same rigorous approach as his premier crus: reductive élevage, no bâtonnage, 350-litre barrels. The 2018 is a warm vintage showing ripe pear and toasted almond with a silky texture, but Colin-Morey's trademark acidity keeps it lifted and precise. Entering its sweet spot now, with room to develop through 2035.

About This Producer
Pierre-Yves worked as winemaker at his father Marc Colin's estate from 1994. In 2001 he started a small négociant business on the side, and by 2005 he had left the family domaine to go fully independent. He brought 6 hectares from his family inheritance and additional parcels from his wife Caroline Morey's family. The reductive, tension-driven style he developed (350-litre barrels, no bâtonnage, 18-20 months élevage) quickly gained critical attention. Sons Mathis and Clément now work at the estate.
