About This Producer
Joseph Leflaive established the domaine in the 1920s, replanting vineyards after phylloxera and bottling under his own name by 1920. Following Joseph’s death in 1953, the estate passed through the family, eventually to his granddaughter Anne-Claude Leflaive, who assumed control in 1990. Anne-Claude’s visionary leadership (alongside cousin Olivier) propelled Leflaive to legendary status – converting fully to biodynamic farming by 1997 (making Leflaive the first major Burgundy domaine to do so). After Anne-Claude’s untimely passing in 2015, her nephew Brice de La Morandière now leads, continuing the family’s four-generation legacy of crafting benchmark white Burgundies with an unwavering commitment to terroir and sustainability.
