About This Producer
Founded in 1797 when Jean-Jacques Koch purchased the Scharzhof estate from the French Republic. The Scharzhofberg vineyard has ancient roots dating to Roman times and was cultivated by monks from the 8th century. In 1887, Egon Müller I married Therese Tuckermann, whose father invested heavily to expand the estate. The family built global reputation through world exhibitions, notably Paris 1900. Egon Müller IV has run the estate since 1991, maintaining the family's minimalist, quality-first approach.
