PenfoldsCabernet Sauvignon 'Bin 707'1998
Bin 707 is Penfolds' answer to the great Cabernet Sauvignons of the world, first produced in 1964 and made only in years the fruit is deemed good enough. The wine is sourced from Barossa Valley's historic Kalimna vineyard, home to the world's oldest commercial Cabernet vines (planted 1888). The 1998 is now approaching 30 years of age: concentrated cassis and cedar, mature velvety tannins, and the kind of length that justifies the wine's cult following. Entering its peak drinking window.
