François Raveneau

The King of Chablis

Est. 1948

About the Estate

Domaine François Raveneau is widely considered the finest producer in Chablis, crafting austere, mineral-driven Chardonnays with exceptional aging potential. The family estate owns prime parcels in Grand Cru sites Les Clos, Blanchot, and Valmur, plus six Premier Cru vineyards including the flagship Montée de Tonnerre. The domaine pioneered Côte d'Or techniques in Chablis, using old feuillettes barrels and indigenous yeasts to create wines that close down in youth but develop incredible complexity over 15+ years.
