Terroir

Based in Saint-Aubin, with vineyards also in Chassagne, Puligny and Santenay – totaling ~18 ha, 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir. The hilly terrain (300–400 m altitude) and marl-limestone soils of Saint-Aubin yield whites with vibrant acidity and flinty minerality. Lamy’s use of dense vine planting (up to 14,000 vines/ha) and organic farming intensifies root competition, drawing out a profound sense of place in each cuvée. From the minerally En Remilly to the floral Derrière Chez Eduard, the wines show the depth and verve inherent to these less-traveled Burgundian terroirs
