Pierre DurochéGevrey-Chambertin 'En Champ'2018
The 2018 is a warmer vintage than the 2016, giving this En Champ a more generous, open character. Cherry compote, cassis and rose petal on the nose, with a truffle note that speaks to the old vines. Medium-bodied with a crunchy mineral streak and the bright energy that defines Duroché's style. More approachable young than the 2016, but still built to develop through 2032.

About This Producer
A fifth-generation family estate in Gevrey-Chambertin, established in 1906. Pierre Duroché took the helm in 2005 and transformed the domaine from a quiet family operation into one of Burgundy's most acclaimed rising stars. He eliminated chemical treatments, reintroduced horse ploughing, and stopped selling fruit to négociants, vinifying everything in-house. The estate holds parcels across four grand crus including Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze.
