Domaine Duroché

About the Estate

A fifth-generation family domaine in Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Duroché has recently emerged as one of Burgundy's rising stars. Under winemaker Pierre Duroché (who took the helm in 2005), this 8.5-hectare estate is earning renown for its beautifully pure, elegant Pinot Noirs that showcase the finesse of Gevrey terroir. Production is limited and highly sought-after, as the domaine's approach favors low yields, minimal new oak, and an emphasis on expressing each vineyard's character.

Terroir

All of Domaine Duroché's vines lie within Gevrey-Chambertin itself – a treasure trove of climats ranging from villages-level to grand cru. The estate now encompasses portions of four different Grand Cru vineyards (Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze, Charmes-Chambertin, Griotte-Chambertin, and Lavaux Saint-Jacques premier cru).
